Surgery
Dental surgery deals with the operations that treat complex dental problems: the extraction of damaged teeth, dental implants to replace missing ones, and the correction of structural defects of the jaw. It also covers procedures for advanced gum disease and the removal of oral lesions.
Patients who need surgery have the 3D CT scan taken in the clinic first, so the bone can be read before anything is planned.
In this field, our offerings include
- Simple extraction of teeth and roots
- Extraction of teeth included or semi-included in the bone
- Wisdom teeth extraction
- Apicotomy, removal of the infected apex of a tooth root
- Frenulectomy, removal of the lingual and labial frenulum
A sterile room, and the CT scan first
Surgery is done in a dedicated sterile operating room. The 3D CT scan comes before it: it shows the position of the roots, the nerve and the bone, which is what makes an extraction or an implant predictable rather than improvised.
What will be done, under what anaesthetic, and what the recovery looks like are explained before the appointment is booked.
