Dental Aesthetics
Dental aesthetics is the dental field dedicated to improving the appearance of the smile, as well as the health and function of teeth and gums. It looks at the harmony between the teeth, the gum contour and the structure of the face, and corrects visible defects such as stains, malformations, fractures or irregularities in the shape of a tooth.
The route always starts with a diagnosis, not with a catalogue: first we check that the teeth and gums are healthy, then we decide the treatment.

Veneers and crowns
For veneers the tooth is prepared only on the front surface, a light reduction of the enamel; for a crown the whole tooth is prepared. That is why many patients, younger ones especially, prefer veneers.
Veneers are not for every case. On teeth that have already been treated and rebuilt, where the gaps are wide or the teeth are badly misaligned, they are not indicated, and crowns are used instead. All of it is designed digitally and made in the laboratory inside the clinic, so the fittings happen in the chair with the technician present.
Whitening, gingivectomy, mesotherapy
Whitening is done in the clinic, and there is a separate protocol for a devitalised tooth that has darkened from the inside. A gingivectomy reshapes the gum to lengthen the visible crown of the tooth, where the gum covers too much of it. Mesotherapy is used on the gum tissue.
